Job summary

The Global Ambassador in Phoenix seeks a friendly bartender to deliver drinks following our guidelines, welcome guests by name, and ensure a seamless, memorable experience. You will collaborate with teammates to maintain a clean, safe bar area and use the POS system to record orders quickly and accurately.

Requirements include 2+ years of volume bartending, legal age to serve alcohol, ServSafe and Tips certifications, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years like volume bartending experience.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• ServSafe and Tips certified.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must have a great personality, desire to serve guests, and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Must possess basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Must be able to safely lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to work on holidays and/or weekend.

Responsibilities

• Deliver drink orders according to TGA guidelines to guests and cocktail servers in a timely manner.
• Make guests feel welcome and know regular guests by name.
• Know brands, ingredients, garnishes, glassware, and prices of beverages.
• Inform guests of specialty drinks and make recommendations you genuinely feel they will enjoy.
• Enter orders in the POS system and handle payments accurately.
• Maintain cash bank and follow cash handling procedures.
• Monitor intoxication signs and adhere to alcohol laws and policies.
• Perform side work at shift start and end.
• Keep a clean, safe work area and maintain glassware standards.
• Assist with inventory counts and report as directed.
• Prepare final bills and process payments.
• Participate in proactive communication to resolve issues.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth bar operation.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver drink orders accordingtoappropriateTGAguidelines to each guest and cocktail server ina timelyand efficientmanner
• Make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you're there to personally take care of them. Know regular guests by name
• Know the brands of beer, wine and liquor offered for consumption, as well as the ingredients to the most asked cocktails, the garnishes they require, the proper glassware, and price
• Inform guests of specialty drinks and make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
• Receive and understand beverage orders and repeat them to the guests and/or servers and enter orders in the point-of-sale system
• Maintain cash bank and follow established cash handling procedures
• Continuously watch for signs of intoxication andpractice all alcoholic beverage laws, policies and regulations
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required
• Always maintain a clean and safe work area, free from dirty glassware, plastic cups, beer bottles
• Perform and document physical inventory counts at direction of General Manager or Restaurant Manager
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable)
• Participate in proactive communication to help avoid and solve operational, HR, and financial issues
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the bar as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
