Job summary

The Global Ambassador Hotel in Phoenix, AZ, part of a collection of hospitality experiences, features six dining concepts, a private members club and luxurious wellness spaces. This role supports servers and bartenders, clears and resets tables, greets guests and ensures smooth seating and service in a dynamic restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must have a great personality, desire to serve guests, and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours).
• Must be able to lift and maneuver trays weighing up to 20–25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers and bartenders and run food to tables.
• Clear and reset tables after guests leave.
• Take tableware to dish-room and place items for washing.
• Clean table tops, chairs, booths and floors as required.
• Greet guests as they are seated and bring bread, butter and water to table.
• Communicate guest requests to server and hostesses.
• Prepare service inventory and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with food delivery when possible and support smooth service.

WhatYou’llDo

• Toppriorityisassistingthe servers and bartendersand running food to tables.
• Responsibleforclearingand resettingtables after guestsleave.
• Take tableware to dish-room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. inappropriate areasforwashing.
• Promptly cleantabletops, chairs, and boothsand checkthe floorand clean asrequired.
• Reset and arrangetabletop.
• Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of eachshift.
• Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring bread,butterand water to table.
• Respond appropriately to guestrequests.
• Communicate guest requests to server asneeded.
• Communicate with server andhostessto assure efficient seating, tableutilization, and customerservice.
• Prep service inventory: cut butter and fill ramekins, clean trash cans, bus tubs forbars, and fill icebins.
• Ensure spills are cleaned up quickly, with as little disturbance to the guest aspossible.
• Assistserver,whenpossible,with food delivery, removing used tableware between courses, and providing tableware for next course, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
• Thank guests as they areleaving.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediatesupervisor.
