Major Food Group's Dirty French in Manhattan's Lower East Side is hiring bartenders to join our energetic team. You will prepare cocktails and other beverages, take orders, and deliver exceptional service while maintaining a safe, clean bar environment.

Requirements include at least 3 years in bartending, ability to stand for 8 hours, and on-site availability including nights and weekends. Compensation starts at $11.35/hour plus tips, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of bartending experience.
• Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours; lift up to 30 lbs.
• On-site work including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Proficient with POS systems and basic computer tasks.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine and beer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails; plan and present bar menu.
• Check customers’ identification and ensure legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Greet guests in a timely manner and take orders.
• Process cash and credit card transactions following procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team.
• Inventory tasks such as monthly liquor inventory and variance analysis.
• Receive and stock liquor products; manage liquor room cleanliness.

Located in the Ludlow Hotel on Manhattan’s storied Lower East Side, Dirty French is an energetic bistro created by the acclaimed hospitality brand Major Food Group and its co-founders Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone, and Rich Torrisi. The restaurant takes its culinary cues from the timeless dishes of the classic French tradition and enlivens them by utilizing modern techniques and bold, thrilling flavors

As a valuable addition to our team, you must ensure that guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. The ideal candidates will be passionate and have a commanding knowledge about food, wine, and service in general.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons

REQUIREMENTS

• The position requires at least 3 years of experience in the desired job
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
• Ability to work on-site for assigned schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to operate point-of-sales system accurately and efficiently
• Deep knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, wine, beer and proper techniqu
• Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word and Excel.
• Experience in high-volume restaurants is a plus.

COMPENSATION

: Hourly - $11.35 plus tips
