Job summary

Rock 'N Rev in the Town of Florida is in search of an experienced Bartender to provide excellent service while preparing quality beverages. Responsibilities include serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining bar cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires standing for long periods and may include lifting up to 50 pounds.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Check identification of guests thoroughly to verify they are of legal drinking age.
• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes in a timely manner.
• Learn the names and personally recognize regular patrons.
• Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system.
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
• Wash and sterilize glassware.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons.
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
• Clear and reset tables in bar area.
• Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
• Assist in restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bartending experience.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Possess excellent communication skills to interact with guests, management and team members.
• Have at least three years of front‑of‑house operations and/or assistant management positions.
• Possess basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Have stamina to work 40+ hours per week.
• Be confident and able to apply gentle assertiveness when necessary.
• Have working knowledge of craft beer, wine, and spirits as well as common drink recipes.
