Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a Part Time Bartender for Stella Van Buren Milwaukee, an upscale fine-dining destination downtown. You will craft cocktails, serve guests with flair, and maintain a high-energy bar environment in a premium setting.

The role emphasizes hospitality excellence, advanced mixology knowledge, and the ability to create memorable guest connections while working flexible shifts in a vibrant hotel restaurant atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, social personality with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
• Sharp attention to detail from cocktail presentation to guest satisfaction.
• Positive, can-do attitude and team-player mindset.
• Previous bartending or serving experience required — hotel, restaurant, or rooftop bar backgrounds a plus.
• Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Weekend availability is required; shifts include 11am-5pm, 2pm-9:30pm, 5pm-close, and 7pm-close.
• Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for extended periods; flexible to evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality bar service to all guests — building personal connections through friendly conversation, intuitive drink recommendations, and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar station; complete daily bar cleaning and side work to health and safety standards.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of the full cocktail menu, beer and wine selections, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes — confidently answering guest questions.
• Ensure consistent food and beverage quality and presentation that meets guest expectations every time.
• Accurately process all payment methods — cash, card, and digital — and complete end-of-shift reconciliation.
• Promote teamwork and contribute to a safe, positive work environment.
• Card all guests and monitor responsible alcohol service to prevent overservice and ensure liquor law compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
