Overview

At San Pedro Fish Market, the Bartender must have the ability to provide our guests with friendly and timely service and exceptional cocktails. Creating an exciting, fun experience for our guests is key and requires a team oriented, well‑spoken individual with the ability to be proactive in a fast‑paced environment. All position responsibilities must be performed in accordance with city, state, federal and Company policy.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

• Greet guests and provide them with a fun and exciting experience.
• Have working knowledge of our menu with the ability to pair beer and cocktails with menu items.
• Expert ability to craft cocktails according to San Pedro Fish Market recipes.
• Follow city, state, federal, and Company guidelines for serving alcoholic beverages, without fail. Ask patrons for identification to validate age, and be vigilant about reporting (known or suspected) invalid ID’s to management. Do not serve anyone who cannot provide valid identification. Diligently watch for underage drinking. Do not overserve any guest. Immediately notify management if you have concerns about enforcing these regulations, if a guest is overly intoxicated, or any other issues.
• Ability to handle and accurately operate a POS system.
• Promptly address guest service issues and refer guests to management when necessary.
• Keep bar area clean and orderly.
• Perform opening, closing and side work ensuring that the opening and closing checklists are accurately and efficiently completed.
• Comply with all city, state, federal and Company food and beverage regulations, alcohol control policies, sanitation guidelines, and safety policies. Promptly report violations or concerns to management.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year related experience in a similar work environment.
