Job description

The Wellness Advisor will be responsible for advising customers (recreational, medicinal and caregivers) in selecting the proper cannabis products for their needs and acting as an ambassador of the company’s mission to normalize, professionalize and revolutionize cannabis. The advisor will use customer service, product knowledge and adherence to state compliance regulations to ensure a best‑in‑class experience across the customer lifecycle from check‑in to consultation, order fulfillment, and checkout. Compliance with applicable state and company regulations will guide all tasks.

Work schedule: Our dispensaries are typically open 7 days a week. Part‑time schedules are 15–25 hours a week, usually around peak hours including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.

CORE JOB DUTIES

• Greet customers and provide a best‑in‑class experience.
• Build relationships by asking questions and listening attentively to their needs.
• Educate customers on cannabis products and their varying impacts.
• Use selling and cross‑selling techniques to build baskets.
• Verify documentation and ID compliance.
• Check order accuracy and dispense in a timely manner.
• Label and package orders.
• Handle cash accurately in the company’s POS following SOPs.
• Maintain records of all activities (sales, deliveries, returns) in compliance with state mandates and company standards.
• Perform routine inventory counts and ensure compliance of product stock.
• Assist managers with merchandise and display organization.
• Execute store safety and security measures per SOPs.
• Keep the store organized and clean for customers and team.
• Escalate employee or customer issues to management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience; retail or hospitality preferred.
• Must be willing to work opening, closing, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Excellent customer service and engagement skills.
• Ability to learn and apply technical and product knowledge in a consultative manner.
• Must lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
