Job summary

Troon's Champion Hills Club in Hendersonville, NC, is seeking a full-time Bartender to craft beverages with hospitality and professionalism in a fast-paced setting.

You will stock the bar, prepare cocktails, operate POS, handle cash, and collaborate on seasonal drinks while ensuring compliance with liquor laws.

Experience in bar service and knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and cocktails is preferred; ServSafe or TIPS certification preferred; great benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience or training.
• ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
• Fluent in English with strong hygiene and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Stock the bar, mix and serve beverages, assist in inventory control.
• Assist in seasonal cocktails and menu development with leadership.
• Manage social media schedule and content for the bar or events.
• Operate POS system and handle cash accurately.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and SOPs; open/close duties.

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. Summary:
Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stocks the bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control and inventory, and maintains inventory records.
• Assists department leaders with the creation of seasonal cocktails and menu development.
• Assists department leaders with the social media schedule and content creation.
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
• Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
• Performs opening and closing duties, which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Maintains accountability for checks and cash transactions.
• Utilizes the Point of Sale system.
• Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
• Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.
• Occasionally serves meals to guests.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Knowledge/Skill:

• Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and current trends in the industry and marketplace.
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes.
• Professional and courteous demeanor.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to company values.
• Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients, and vendors.
• Fluent in English speaking, writing, and understanding.
• Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred (e.g., POSITOUCH and MICROS).

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

• ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands.

Regularly reaches with hands and arms.

Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes, smells, and sits.

Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds.

Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
