Position Summary

As a bartender, provide courteous service following hotel standards while preparing alcoholic drinks for guests. Maintain thorough knowledge of standard drink recipes and mix them quickly and accurately. Check identification of all customers to ensure they meet the minimum drinking age. Take drink orders, serve drinks, and collect payment. Up-sell food and beverages with well-informed suggestions. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness. Work to resolve guest challenges, ensuring satisfaction. The industry operates 24/7, so regular attendance is essential.

Physical Responsibilities

• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
• Lift/transport at least 50 pounds; push/pull carts up to 150 pounds.
• Work in various physical positions throughout the work areas.
• Work environment includes indoor and outdoor hotel areas with variable temperature and noise levels.
• Stand and move efficiently for up to 8 hours.
• Wear flat, closed-toe non-slip shoes.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and food & beverage POS systems preferred.
• 1-2 years of food and beverage experience preferred.
• Previous cash handling and guest relations training preferred.
• Certification in alcohol awareness preferred.
