Position Summary

As a bartender, provide courteous service following hotel standards while preparing alcoholic drinks for guests. Maintain thorough knowledge of standard drink recipes and mix them quickly and accurately. Check IDs of all customers to ensure they meet the minimum drinking age. Take drink orders, serve drinks, and collect payment. Up-sell food and beverages with well-informed suggestions. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness. Resolve guest challenges to ensure satisfaction.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This industry operates 24/7. Regular attendance is essential. Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol. Physical effort includes lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds, pushing/pulling carts up to 150 pounds, and standing for up to 8 hours. Work areas include indoor and outdoor hotel spaces with variable temperatures and noise levels. Employees should wear flat, non-slip shoes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience
• Computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and POS systems preferred
• 1-2 years of food and beverage experience preferred
• Cash handling experience preferred
• Training in liquor, wine, and food service preferred
• Guest/customer relations training preferred
