Job summary

Westmoreland Country Club in Export, PA is seeking a full-time Bartender to join a fast-paced hospitality team under Troon. You will stock, mix and serve beverages, maintain inventory, ensure compliance with state laws, and handle guest requests.

The role includes opening/closing duties, cash handling, and operating the POS system. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of bartending experience, knowledge of cocktails and wines, and a commitment to safety and excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year bartending experience or training.
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock bar, mix and serve beverages; assist in inventory and cost control.
• Maintain inventory records and notify management when supplies run low.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and SOPs.
• Handle guest requests and communicate with management.
• Perform opening/closing duties including cash control and cleaning.
• Operate POS system for checks and transactions.
• Review banquet schedule and events; serve catered parties.
• Occasionally serve meals to guests.
• Adhere to safe work practices and perform other duties.

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Key Responsibilities of the Bartender:

• Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products and communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
• Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
• Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
• Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.
• Occasionally serves meals to guests.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications for the Bartender:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.

Other Qualifications:

• Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
• Alcohol Awareness Training.
