Job summary

Fitness Formula Clubs (FFC) in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a part-time bartender to deliver friendly, prompt service to members and guests. You will follow beverage recipes, process orders at the POS, and maintain a clean, safe bar area.

Responsibilities

• Provide a clean, safe bar environment for members, guests and coworkers.
• Clean and disinfect bar components; support club promotions and customer service excellence.
• Follow beverage recipes and knowledge of prices; serve beverages promptly.
• Set up and break down bar; stock and restock per par specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of bar and service areas; manage glassware and equipment.
• Charge guests, enter orders into POS system, collect payments, and handle change.
• Provide beverage menu information to guests, and begin work at scheduled times.
• Maintain grooming and uniform standards; perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Bartender Job Type: Part-time Compensation:$/hour plus tips Schedule: Monday - Sunday with availability between 10 AM and 8 PM Compensation: $9.25 per hour + tips

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for members, guests, and co-workers
• Every staff member, regardless of position, has a primary and urgent responsibility to clean and disinfect all club components as they are used by members and guests and yourself. Help retain and attain new members through club promotion and customer service excellence
• Accurately follow recipes for all beverages; must have thorough knowledge of all beverage offerings and prices
• Provide prompt and consistent bar service to members, guests and servers
• Set up and break down bar - stock and restock bar according to prescribed par specifications; clean bar thoroughly in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the bar and all common areas and service stations; clean glasses, utensils, bar equipment, bar tops, refrigerators, and all other equipment and work areas
• Accurately charge guests for purchases; enter order into the point of sale system, collect payment and return all change
• Provide information to guests including beverage menu descriptions
• Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time
• Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards
• Other duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

• At least one year of previous bar-tending experience

• Basic computer skills are required
• Must possess a service orientation - actively looking for ways to help others
• Will work for extended periods of time without sitting
• Required to lift heavy items such as liquor boxes and ice bins etc.
• Responsible for bar till; proper cash handling is required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Physical requirements include: walking and standing during the entire shift (often 4-8 hours), climbing stairs, kneeling to clean floors, pushing and pulling objects, lifting and moving objects (up to 50 lbs.), and cleaning
