Job summary

M Crowd Restaurant Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Bartender to provide prompt, friendly service while preparing high quality drinks and assisting guests with menus.

You will take orders, mix drinks per standard recipes, verify guest age, process payments, maintain a clean bar, and support overall bar and restaurant operations in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
• Must be able to operate a POS and handle payments.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage/food orders and enter orders into the register.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks per standard recipes.
• Verify guest age for alcohol service per ABC requirements.
• Process payments, tips, and make change as needed.
• Wash and sanitize glassware and maintain an organized bar area.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area and assist with serving at the restaurant.

Summary of Bartender Position:The Bartender provides prompt, friendly service while accurately preparing high quality alcoholic beverages and providing attentive food and drink service to guests.Licensing Requirements:Valid Food Handlers CertificationValid Alcohol Service CertificationDuties & Responsibilities:Take beverage/food orders from guests and beverage orders from serversPrepare and serve alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks consistent with the Company’s standard drink recipesLearns the names and personally recognize our regular guestRecord drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register systemConduct age verification for alcoholic service following ABC requirements and Company procedures at all timesManage guest liquor consumption effectively and in accordance with ABC requirements and Company proceduresAccept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable)Wash and sterilize glassware. Prepare drink garnishmentsMaintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beveragesClear and reset tables in bar areaPresent drink/food menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages/foodMaintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areasReceive and serve food orders to guests seated at the barAnswer phone and provide superior guest serviceReport all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant managerBe available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisorKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Knowledge of standard drink recipes and beverage preparationBasic understanding of bar operations, sanitation, and responsible alcohol serviceStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to multitask in a fast paced environmentAbility to prepare beverages quickly and consistentlyAbility to maintain clean and organized bar areaMust maintain a professional appearance and a positive, team oriented attitudeProficiency in basic math, with the ability to accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions while operating a point of sale (POS) systemQualifications:Must be 18 years of age or olderMust possess strong customer service and interpersonal skillsHave working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.Must be authorized to work in the U.SWork Environment / Physical Demands:Expected to keep work location a safe and healthy work environment.
