Job summary

Mt Southington Restaurant & Lounge Inc. seeks a Bartender to thrive in a fast-paced ski resort setting. You will prepare and serve drinks, engage guests, and assist with opening/closing duties while maintaining bar cleanliness and knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine.

Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings is required; must be 18+, pass a background check, and hold or obtain TIPS certification. The role offers $17.50 per hour with ski/ride access benefits.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine.
• TIPS certification is required or must be maintained.
• Eligible to work in the United States and able to pass background check.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems.
• Check identification and ensure compliance with alcohol service laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Restock supplies, glassware, and garnishes as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Collaborate with Mountain Room Crew, Cooks, and Mountain Leadership.
• Handle high-volume service during peak ski hours and events.
• Accurately record hours worked and resolve discrepancies before payroll.
• Complete required training as assigned by mountain leadership.
