Job summary

Max Downtown, Hartford CT, seeks an experienced Bartender for a high-volume, fine dining environment. The role requires a polished, guest-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and can deliver a refined guest experience.

You will mix classic and craft cocktails, wine, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages while upholding Max Downtown’s presentation standards. Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of bartending in fine dining; REQUIRED
• Alternatively, 2+ years in high-volume casual dining considered

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve a wide range of cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Provide outstanding guest service in a warm, engaging bar atmosphere
• Uphold standards of presentation, portion control, and consistency
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area at all times
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly
• Verify identification and ensure responsible alcohol service per state laws
• Collaborate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service
• Stay updated with seasonal menus and beverage offerings
