Job summary

Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, VA, part of Troon, is seeking a Full-Time Bartender to join our guest-focused team. You will mix drinks, serve guests, and help maintain bar inventory in a fast-paced setting.

The position offers pay of $12.77–$15.00 per hour, benefits including healthcare, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and meal opportunities. Must be at least 21 and have at least one year bartending experience or training.

Qualifications

• One year of bartending experience and/or training.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Stock and mix beverages; assist with cost control and inventory records.
• Maintain inventory records; communicate needs to management in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and SOPs.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions.
• Serve catered parties and assist with events and banquets.

Bay Creek Resort, located in Cape Charles, VA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay Range: $12.77 to $15.00

Key Responsibilities

• Stocks the bar; mixes and serves alcoholic beverages; assists in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed
• Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager
• Performs opening and closing duties, including but not limited to inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking
• Is accountable for checks and cash transactions and utilizes the point-of-sale system
• Reviews banquet schedules for changes, calendars of events, and special events
• Serves catered parties from service or portable bars
• Occasionally serves meals to guests
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet state requirements for serving alcohol

Other Qualifications

• Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties
• Alcohol Awareness Training

Extra Information

• Experience preferred but not required
• T.I.P.S current certification
