Job summary

Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, VA is seeking a driven Full-Time Bartender to join Troon, a global leader in golf and hospitality. The role offers a pay range of $12.77 to $15.00 per hour and requires a passion for guest service in a fast-paced environment.

You will stock the bar, mix cocktails, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with state liquor laws. Minimum 1 year bartending experience and at least 21 years old; TIPs certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1 year bartending experience or training.
• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
• TIPs certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock the bar and mix alcoholic beverages; assist in inventory and cost control.
• Maintain inventory records and communicate needs to management.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and SOPs.
• Communicate guest requests to the Department Manager.
• Perform opening/closing duties, including cash handling.
• Operate the POS system and manage cash transactions.
• Review banquet schedules and events; serve catered parties.
• Occasionally serve meals and maintain safe work practices.
• Perform other duties as required.

Description

Bay Creek Resort, located in Cape Charles, VA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay Range: $12.77 to $15.00

Key Responsibilities:

• Stocks the bar; mixes and serves alcoholic beverages; assists in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed
• Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager
• Performs opening and closing duties, including but not limited to inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking
• Is accountable for checks and cash transactions and utilizes the point-of-sale system
• Reviews banquet schedules for changes, calendars of events, and special events
• Serves catered parties from service or portable bars
• Occasionally serves meals to guests
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet state requirements for serving alcohol

Other Qualifications:

Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties

Alcohol Awareness Training

• Experience preferred but not required
• T.I.P.S current certification
