Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in barrier films, metallized films, flexible packaging, or related processes.
• Strong knowledge of barrier-film manufacturing, plastics webs, and converting.
• Hands-on experience with process control, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Experience solving technical process problems with production teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and leadership teams.
• Previous supervisory or team-development experience.

Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: improve metallizing, slitting, and converting for better quality, throughput and efficiency.
• Technical Troubleshooting: lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Production Support: provide hands-on technical support to production, engineering, maintenance, and quality.
• R&D & Product Development: lead new product and process development from concept to production release.
• Laboratory & Barrier Testing: perform/document tests and coordinate external testing.
• Customer Technical Support: assist Sales and customers with technical questions and product approvals.
• Equipment & Continuous Improvement: support new equipment, upgrades, and waste-reduction initiatives.
• Technical Documentation: maintain TS/regulatory docs, testing records, and process documentation.
• Training & Leadership: train operators and supervise quality/control and product development teams.
