Responsibilities

• Oversee daily care of horses, cows, goats, and chickens, including feeding, turnout, grooming, and health monitoring.
• Maintain barns, pens, pastures, equipment, and storage areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Monitor animal welfare; coordinate veterinary visits, farrier services, vaccinations, and routine health checks.
• Manage feed, bedding, supplements, and supply inventory; place orders and track usage.
• Train and supervise ranch staff, volunteers, and program participants in safe animal handling.
• Collaborate with program leaders to support therapeutic and educational activities for veterans and youth with special needs.
• Implement safety protocols to protect animals, staff, and participants in all areas of the ranch.
• Develop and maintain daily schedules, chore lists, and care logs.
• Identify and address facility maintenance needs; coordinate with vendors or maintenance teams as required.
• Assist with planning and supporting special events, educational workshops, and community activities held at the ranch.
