Job summary

Hisglory is seeking an experienced Ranch Manager to lead daily operations on a large-scale property in Mt Pleasant, TX. You will oversee livestock care, greenhouse management, and equipment maintenance, while supervising staff and maintaining safety, productivity, and animal welfare.

The role requires hands-on leadership, mechanical know-how, and a commitment to sustainable farming practices. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities to contribute to community and ministry

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience in agriculture or ranch settings.
  • Hands-on experience operating farm machinery including tractors and irrigation systems.
  • Extensive animal care knowledge with a focus on husbandry and handling techniques.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair; welding is a plus.
  • Background in farming or horticulture; greenhouse experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily ranch activities including livestock management, irrigation, and greenhouse operations.
  • Oversee the care and handling of animals, ensuring adherence to husbandry standards and proper nutrition and health monitoring.
  • Manage maintenance, repair, and operations of farm machinery, heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and other agricultural equipment.
  • Lead a team of ranch hands, providing training in equipment operation, safety protocols, manual handling techniques, and animal care procedures.
  • Operate heavy machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards in all production activities to promote a safe working environment for staff.
  • Perform welding or basic mechanical repairs as needed; troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain detailed records of livestock health, crop progress, equipment maintenance logs, and safety inspections.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Ranch Manager to lead daily operations on a large-scale property. This role involves overseeing animal husbandry, greenhouse management, equipment maintenance, and staff supervision to ensure the ranch runs efficiently, safely, and sustainably. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in farming, agriculture, and animal care, combined with excellent leadership skills and mechanical expertise. As Ranch Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and animal welfare while fostering a positive work environment.
