Tatte Bakery & Café in Morristown, NJ is seeking a friendly Barista to welcome guests and craft handmade coffee beverages with care. You will develop knowledge of our coffee menu and bakery offerings while delivering genuine hospitality in a fast-paced café.

You should have strong communication, a passion for coffee, and be a team player. Flexible shifts including weekends and holidays are expected, with benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and meal discounts.

Responsibilities

• Provide gracious and high-quality service to guests by welcoming them to our cafés and engaging with them throughout their experience
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of all Tatte products
• Prepare and serve or deliver beverages according to Tatte recipes and specifications
• Answer guests' questions about our offerings
• Follow all recipe and presentation standards for our beverages
• Operate all Barista station equipment according to standards
• Keep the bar and bar equipment clean, sanitary, organized, and well-stocked
• Deliver beautiful and artistic espresso beverages
• Perform other duties as assigned

Founded by Tzurit Or in 2007, Tatte Bakery began in a home kitchen and at Boston farmers markets before opening its first café in Brookline, Massachusetts. THE ROLE

Our Baristas welcome and care for guests in our cafés while showing off their artistic coffee skills by handcrafting delicious and creative coffee beverages. They develop a deep knowledge of our coffee menu, bakery and savory offerings, and deliver genuine hospitality in a fast-paced café environment.

• Have engaging, warm, and welcoming communication skills and presence
• Have a passion for and deep knowledge of coffee, our bakery and savory offerings, and genuine hospitality
• Have a desire to help where needed and work as part of a team
• Live Tatte’s core values and help Tatte deliver on its mission
• Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, afternoons, and evenings
• Ideally have at least 1 year of experience as a barista using manual espresso equipment in a fast-paced restaurant or café
