Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe in Washington, DC area is seeking friendly baristas for our front-of-house team. You will welcome guests, craft beverages by hand, and deliver hospitality that reflects our brand. We require at least 1 year of barista experience with manual espresso machines in a fast-paced cafe, strong communication, and a passion for coffee, bakery, and guest service.

Founded by Tzurit Or in 2007, Tatte Bakery began in a home kitchen and at Boston farmers markets before opening its first café in Brookline, Massachusetts. What started as a small neighborhood bakery has grown into a beloved brand with cafés throughout Greater Boston, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and now the Tri-State area. Key Responsibilities

Our front of house team members welcome and care for guests in our cafes. Our baristas show off their artistic coffee skills by handcrafting delicious and creative coffee beverages.

• Have a passion for and deep knowledge of our coffee menu, our bakery and savory offerings, and genuine hospitality
• Have a desire to help where needed and work as part of a team

• Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, & afternoons/evenings
• At least 1 year of experience as a barista using manual espresso equipment in a fast-paced restaurant/café

Summary Of Baristas’ Primary Responsibilities

• Support café operations and assist with additional tasks as needed
• Other related assignments as necessary

Essential Functions / Working Conditions

• Strong communication skills to warmly engage with guests and team members
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to grasp and reach overhead
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+ lbs
• Must be able to work 8+ hours a day on feet
