Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation in Indiana is seeking a Barista for the Nosh concession to deliver superior service to guests and colleagues.

The Barista will prepare espresso drinks, assist with beverage, pastry, and merchandise sales, and ensure sanitation and accurate cash handling at the point of sale. Close coordination with the Lead Barista will be required to resolve operating issues and maintain stock and presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in specialty coffee and snack bar operations.
• Strong communication with customers and staff.
• Ability to distinguish between currency denominations and make change.
• Ability to review and understand necessary documentation.
• Ability to move around a busy food service area.
• Must be able to operate the following equipment: cash register, coffee/espresso machines, grinder, grill, fryer, waffle iron, panini press, and Turbo Chef.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and obtain licenses/certifications per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and positively impact interactions with customers and employees.
• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing beverages, pastries, and merchandise.
• Prepare espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day.
• Follow policies for operational flow and merchandising at each station.
• Open and close outlets following sanitation procedures and protect company assets.
• Communicate with Lead Barista on operating issues.
