Job summary

SSA Consulting Group is seeking a friendly Barista to provide excellent customer service while preparing high-quality coffee and espresso beverages in a fast-paced cafe environment.

You will greet guests, take orders, operate the POS, handle transactions, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while following food safety standards and working closely with the team to ensure swift, accurate service.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn proper beverage preparation and food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Take guest orders and accurately operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions according to cash-handling procedures.
• Prepare and serve food items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, counters, equipment, and guest areas.
• Restock cups, lids, syrups, ingredients, food items, and other supplies throughout the shift.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and health procedures.
• Monitor product quality and communicate low inventory or equipment concerns to management.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with team members to provide fast and efficient service.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
