Job summary

Palihotel San Francisco is seeking an upbeat barista to prepare and serve coffee drinks, small bites, and other refreshments at the property’s coffee bar and dining outlets. You will learn our service steps, products, menu, and systems to deliver a consistent guest experience.

You'll work with a friendly team to keep the bar and restaurant running smoothly, restock and prep as needed, and collaborate with staff to promote exclusive offerings to overnight guests.

• Clear thinker who stays calm and resolves problems using good judgment; works cohesively as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• Take orders, make espresso drinks, and serve coffee and other refreshments from the bar.
• Answer guest questions about ingredients and kindly adjust milk, sugar, and espresso ratios to preference.
• Work with the team to keep the coffee bar, restaurant, and bar running smoothly, tidy, and fun for guests and staff alike.
• Restock, replenish, and prep the coffee bar and side-work areas as needed.
• Collaborate with hotel staff to make sure overnight guests know about the bar and restaurant's exclusive offerings.

• 1 year of related experience in a similar position, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.
• Clear thinker who stays calm and resolves problems using good judgment; works cohesively as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical

• Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk and bend, and push, pull, or lift up to 30 lbs.
