Role
Join our Presidents House Coffee team as a Barista | On Call. Baristas are responsible for maintaining high standards by providing quick, efficient, and professional service to ensure guest satisfaction. They will restock merchandise, keep the coffee bar clean, and verify guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with guests and associates
- Listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by co-workers and guests
- Remain professional in all situations
- Work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Adhere to proper uniform and grooming standards
- Ensure lobby public areas are maintained in liaison with housekeeping
- Assist with monthly inventory
- Maintain a clean workspace throughout the shift
- Follow proper procedure for accepting credit cards and checks
- Maintain a cash bank
- Verify guest room numbers for room charges
- Interact with other departments to ensure guest needs are satisfied
- Adhere to proper food handling procedures
- Demonstrate proper knowledge of equipment use and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience; in food/beverage and/or retail environment preferred
- Previous cash handling and face-to-face customer service experience required
- Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
- Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers within and outside of your department
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up on guest requests in a fast-paced environment
- Must be TABC & Food Handler certified
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds; ability to stand or walk for extended periods
