Job summary

Sturbridge Coffee House is hiring rockstar baristas for full-time work in a fast-paced environment. You will craft drinks, assist guests, and help keep the cafe running smoothly with a positive attitude.

We value a friendly, energetic team player who can handle high-energy shifts, weekends and holidays, and provide outstanding customer service. Training provided, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or quick-service experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic matters.
• Able to stand on your feet and move quickly in a busy setting.
• 18+ years old with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Craft lattes, teas, smoothies, and pastries to meet our gold standards every time.
• Know the menu inside and out, answer guest questions, and watch for allergens to keep guests safe.
• Keep service fast, accurate, and incredibly friendly so guests keep coming back.
• Maintain a spotless workspace and a tidy dining area for smooth shifts.
• Restock ingredients and organize new deliveries so the team never skips a beat.

What You’ll Be Doing (Beyond the Brew):

• Craft the Magic: Whip up beautiful lattes, perfect teas, protein packed smoothies and serve delicious pastries & food items that meet our gold standards every time.

• Be the Expert: Know our menu inside and out, answer guest questions, and keep an eye out for food allergens to keep everyone safe.
• Spread Good Energy: Keep service fast, accurate, and incredibly friendly so our guests keep coming back.
• Keep it Sparkling: Maintain a spotless workspace. A clean bar and a tidy dining room are non-negotiable for a smooth shift.
• Unpack the Goods: Restock ingredients and organize new deliveries so the team never skips a beat.
• Follow the rules: Follow all local and state health department regulations and safety protocols.

What We Are Looking For:

• Coffee/Food Savvy: Previous barista or quick-service restaurant experience is a huge plus, but a great work ethic is key.
• Team Players: People who love a collaborative, high-fiving environment.
• The Flexible Hustler: Ready to stand on your feet, move fast, and dive into a flexible schedule (including those buzzing weekends and holidays).
• Eligible: You are at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation.

We serve hundreds of people in the heart of Sturbridge, MA and beyond. We wouldn't be the great coffee house we aretoday, nor be opening additional locations, without the dedication of every employee and customer over the years.
