Job summary

Virgin Hotels in New Orleans is seeking a friendly, energetic Barista/F&B Attendant to take and serve orders with a focus on guest experience. You will greet guests, upsell menu items, and ensure coffee bar setup and presentation meet brand standards.

Responsibilities include coffee drink preparation, menu education for guests, POS transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized dining area. Prior barista or service experience is preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as barista or food server preferred.
• High school or equivalent education required.
• Stand for 6–8 hours regularly.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Take orders for and serve food and beverage items in a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
• Greet, communicate and converse with all guests; use suggestive selling techniques.
• Set up and maintain coffee bar; prepare and serve coffee drinks.
• Educate guests about coffee beans, preparation, and home brewing methods.
• Enter all items into the POS system and charge guests accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and service area; follow sanitation standards.
• Assist with cash handling and adhere to company money-handling policies.
