Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.
• Six months of barista experience.
• Six months of training or experience in food handling or preparation.
• Six months of cashier experience.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with information, inquiries, meal and beverage recommendations.
• Brew a wide variety of specialty coffees and beverages using espresso machines.
• Prepare food following standard handling procedures.
• Input sales into the POS system accurately.
• Count cash drawers to prepare deposits.
• Monitor inventory levels and report needs promptly.
• Follow cash handling policies and ensure compliance.
• Identify and resolve issues with food quality or quantity.
• Maintain clean work areas and equipment, including dishes and machines.
• Assist with periodic large cleaning projects.
• This role does not supervise staff.
• Other duties as needed to support the department.
