Job summary

Land’s End Resort in Homer, AK seeks a Bartender 21+ to deliver high quality beverage service in a restaurant setting. You will greet guests, take orders, present menus, and prepare drinks, while handling payments and keeping service areas organized.

At least one year of bartending experience and TAP certification are required. English literacy is needed, and you will follow grooming and uniform standards within a hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to serve and prepare alcohol.
• At least one year of bartending experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting.
• TAP certification or formal training in alcohol management/serving.
• Observes grooming, customer service, and uniform/ dress standards.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Promptly greets guest and takes their order.
• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Follows TAPs ID verification and training guidelines.
• Enter orders into POS system.
• Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
• Prepare drinks to order such as wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
• Serves food items to assigned tables in manner it was ordered.
• Totals up bills and accepts payments or refers patron to cashier.
• Clears and resets guest areas at conclusion of each course or service.
• Ensure food stations are stocked according to checklists.
• Break down service stations and clean equipment.
