Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21+ to serve and prepare alcohol.
• At least six months of server experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting.
• TAP certification contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Municipality of Alaska Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Observes grooming, customer service, and uniform/dress standards.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and take orders.
• Present menu, answer questions and make recommendations.
• Enter orders into the POS system.
• Relay orders to kitchen and serve courses from kitchen and service bars.
• Serve drinks such as wine, beer, and cocktails to guests.
• Monitor guests for additional requests and completion of meals.
• Process payments and close out bills with guests or the cashier.
• Maintain clean and stocked food stations and service areas.
• Break down service stations and clean equipment as needed.
• Adhere to all department requirements and perform other duties as assigned.
