• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about department and store products.
• Maintain knowledge of department products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards; handle transactions per store best practices.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Use coffee shop equipment and inventory ingredients; label and stock merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take action as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment including espresso machines, blenders, scales, and steamers.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
• Support safety programs and comply with food safety guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs to prevent failures.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflict calmly.
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Assist customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
