The Lofton Hotel, a premier property in downtown Minneapolis, is hiring a Barista for Mezzo Mezzo to craft Spyhouse Coffee beverages and deliver warm, professional service to guests and local customers. You will operate espresso equipment, restock supplies, and maintain clean workstations while upholding brand standards in a vibrant hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of coffee and specialty drinks.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and POS tasks.
• Ability to multi-task and self-motivate in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic English writing skills for requisitions, balance sheets, vouchers.
• Sufficient dexterity to garnish, handle glassware, scoop ice, and stock retrieval.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve Spyhouse Coffee beverages to brand standards.
• Deliver warm, professional service to hotel guests and local customers.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders and POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and workstations.
• Restock supplies and assist with opening/closing procedures.
• Answer guest questions about menu items and coffee offerings.
• Uphold hotel service standards and food safety guidelines.
