Job summary

Eurest at East Town Cafe in Minneapolis is hiring a full-time Barista to make coffee and related items and provide courteous service. You will handle espresso orders, enter orders into POS, and maintain cleanliness and HACCP standards.

This role requires prior barista and customer service experience; pizza/sandwich prep is a plus. A union position with retirement, health, dental, and paid time off benefits are offered; typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 am–3:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Experience as a barista and in cafe service.
• Pizza/sandwich prep and customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and POS.

Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders accurately into POS device; accepts cash and charge payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction.
