Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of coffee and specialty drinks.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and POS tasks.
• Ability to multi-task and self-motivate in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic English writing skills for requisitions, balance sheets, vouchers.
• Sufficient dexterity to garnish, handle glassware, scoop ice, and stock retrieval.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.

What will you be doing?

• Prepare and serve Spyhouse Coffee beverages to brand standards

• Deliver warm, professional service to hotel guests and local customers

• Operate espresso machines, grinders and POS systems

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and workstations

• Restock supplies and assist with opening/closing procedures

• Answer guest questions about menu items and coffee offerings

• Uphold hotel service standards and food safety guidelines

What do you bring to the role?

• Must have basic knowledge of coffee and specialty coffee drinks

• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes

• Ability to multi-task and self-motivate

• Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets, and vouchers

• Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock

• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders

• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
