Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a customer-focused barista for a store-based role in Colorado Springs. You will greet customers, prepare espresso drinks, suggest products, and ensure clean, well-stocked service areas to meet sales goals.

Role requires a high school diploma or GED and barista certification with at least 90% and a willingness to work weekends and varied shifts in a fast-paced retail environment. Training, policies, and teamwork are emphasized to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 6 months of customer service experience.
• Ability to complete Initial Store Training and barista certification with 90%+.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends, any shift, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
• Familiarity with industry terms and processes.

Responsibilities

• Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Promote and follow company initiatives.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and suggest product to enhance service and meet sales goals.
• Maintain cleanliness of customer service area and equipment.
• Prepare a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day to standard.
• Follow store policies and procedures.
• Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with the duty rosters and cleaning standards.
• Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
• Follow cash handling and register policies.
• Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
