Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of department products to respond to questions and suggest items.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipes and standards; handle transactions per company practices.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products ordered and portion sizes close to orders to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customers' needs and preferences.
• Use coffee shop equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines; label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and sell-by dates; take appropriate action as needed.
• Operate espresso machines, blenders, scales, and steamers; ensure proper safety and hygiene practices.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise; report discrepancies to management.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; adhere to safety procedures and report risks.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of any repairs needed; practice preventive maintenance.
• Report accidents and safety risks to store management; comply with safety and food safety regulations.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support to customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
