Responsibilities

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products and store services.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions, making recommendations.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections per recipe and standards, processing transactions with best practices.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions and prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to customers based on their needs.
• Operate coffee shop equipment and correctly prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Use kitchen equipment (espresso machine, blender, scale, steamer) as required.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; adhere to safety and food regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of necessary repairs.
• Report safety risks or incidents to store management.
• Work cooperatively in fast-paced environments and manage conflicts calmly.
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support when interacting with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
