Job summary

The Motel One Group in New York is seeking an experienced Server to deliver exceptional hospitality, coffee, and beverage service to guests. You will engage with guests, know the menu, and maintain a clean, welcoming station.

Responsibilities include preparing beverages, handling POS, following service standards, and supporting kitchen operations with a team-first mindset. TIPS and Food Handler certifications preferred.

• Barista and table service experience required.

• Proficiency in food and beverage service and operations.
• Understanding of wine and craft beer.
• Welcoming and professional appearance.
• Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
• TIPS certification required.
• Food handler certificate required.
• Knowledge of NYC health standards.

Responsibilities

• Exceed guests' expectations with hospitality and courteous service.
• Prepare coffees/teas/smoothies for to-go and seated guests.
• Provide exemplary service with menu knowledge and guest engagement.
• Execute all steps of counter and table service.
• Maintain POS cash controls per company guidelines.
• Ensure high standards of service and cleanliness.
• Perform inventory counts as directed.
• Respond to guest requests promptly.
• Complete daily pre- and post-shift checklists.
• Prepare menu items per design and presentation standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Monitor stock and inventory levels.
• Label and store food items properly.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with Head Chef for kitchen operations.
• Wash dishes and manage waste.
