• Gain knowledge of department products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverages to recipes and standards; handle transactions per company best practices.
• Offer samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Use coffee shop equipment per guidelines; prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Use kitchen equipment like espresso, blender, scale, and steamer.
• Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions; adhere to food safety rules.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Ability to work cooperatively in fast-paced environments.
• Manage conflict calmly and cooperatively.
• Uphold honesty and integrity with customer info.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Interact respectfully with diverse customers including minors and seniors.
