Job summary

Locally Grown Restaurants seeks a friendly Barista for Crush Bistro in Anchorage, AK. Barista - Crush Bistro (Full Time Availability)

We are looking for friendly, organized people with great communication skills for barista position.

Duties are to greet guests and take orders, make and serve beverages, accept payments, and keep the espresso machine area clean and organized. Baristas provide exemplary customer service at all times. They will also be expected to prepare and serve food items as needed.

Operations

Works with other staff to ensure their area is clean and organized at all times. Is constantly pre-bussing, picking up trash from the floor, straightening tables and chairs, etc. as needed. Completes all opening & closing side work

• Is timely in all aspects of service; the greeting, beverage orders, and delivery
• Knows all point-of-sale functions and can navigate quickly and efficiently on-screen
• Accurately executes all sales transactions and consistently utilizes restaurant accounting systems
• Follows all drink recipes accurately and consistently
• Displays mastery of coffee and espresso knowledge and technique
• Ensures all beverages are presented properly before delivering to the guests
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of all menu items
• Assists in the preparation and service of food items

Physical Requirements

The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time and may occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
