Job summary

The June Group is seeking a warm, skilled Barista to craft exceptional coffee, espresso, and tea while setting a welcoming tone for members. This role emphasizes consistent beverage quality, attentive guest service, and maintaining a clean, inviting coffee bar.

You will dial in grinders and machines, engage with members by name, and support private events as needed. Training is provided for the right candidate eager to grow in beverage and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Prior barista or hospitality experience preferred; training provided.
• Knowledge of espresso, milk steaming, and brewing methods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency and cleanliness.
• Warm, clear communication with members and teammates.
• Reliable and punctual in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Beverage Preparation: Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and other beverages to The June’s recipes and standards with consistent quality and presentation.
• Dial in and calibrate grinders and espresso machines, adjusting for freshness, humidity, and taste throughout service.
• Steam and pour milk and milk alternatives with proper technique, and prepare latte art where appropriate.
• Learn the coffee and tea program thoroughly, including origins, flavor profiles, and brewing methods, and describe offerings with confidence.
• Prepare and plate pastries and light food items as assigned, following food safety and presentation standards.
