Job summary

The Village Café, part of Church of the City, seeks a Barista to support daily operations, craft high-quality beverages and foods, and create a welcoming environment for every guest.

You will join a collaborative café team, manage orders and payments, and prep drinks following established recipes while maintaining supplies and assisting with opening and closing duties to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Qualifications

• A successful candidate possesses competency and demonstrated experience in effective communication, emotional intelligence and conflict resolution.
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of adhering to deadlines, managing multiple assignments, and working well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth and attentiveness and provide hospitable café experience.
• Receive orders, enter transactions, process payments and answer menu questions.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, and menu items per recipes and standards.
• Fulfill orders efficiently, coordinating with team during busy periods.
• Maintain levels of ingredients, beverages, supplies, and service items.
• Restock inventory and communicate needs to Café Manager.
• Follow opening, operating, and closing procedures.
