Job summary

Blue Bottle Coffee is looking for a Barista who loves coffee, culinary items, sustainability, and creating incredible guest experiences grounded in care and respect. You will grow as a team member and help build community through coffee with us.

In this role you will deliver hospitality, prepare beverages and food, stay knowledgeable about our offerings, participate in tastings and trainings, and uphold safety and sustainability goals in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Qualifications

• Existing Food Handler’s Certification required for the state you will be working in, or will obtain it within 30 days post-hire
• Basic math and computer skills
• A flexible schedule and are available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional hospitality to guests, teammates, vendors and suppliers
• Make and serve a selection of beverages with various brewing and preparation methods
• Prepare and serve delicious food
• Stay knowledgeable about Blue Bottle offerings and participate in tastings and trainings
• Taste beverages to ensure quality and uphold standards
• Create community in cafes by sharing coffee knowledge with guests
• Support the team with cafe tasks including cleaning, restocking, and organizing stations
• Promote sustainability goals and uphold health and safety guidelines
• Complete Blue Bottle Academy training and 90-day validation post-hire
