Job summary

Lodging Dynamics is seeking a Barista for our property in the California area. The role focuses on delivering prompt, friendly guest service, handling orders, and maintaining accurate POS transactions while adhering to service standards.

You will perform set-up tasks, answer menu questions, ensure food quality, and collaborate with team members to create a smooth guest experience. Prior food safety knowledge and a willingness to pitch in are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to work AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Safe food handling and Smart Serve certificates required.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• General knowledge of food and food preparation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to service manual.
• Do all necessary set-up side work as assigned.
• Answer any guest questions about the menu.
• Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable).
• Check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
