Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products and store services.
• Know products in the department and be ready to respond to questions or make product suggestions.
• Collaborate with coworkers and promote teamwork to help achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections per recipes and standards and process transactions following company guidelines.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials and promotions.
• Provide fresh products ordered with correct portion sizes to minimize shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Operate equipment in the coffee shop (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) and handle packaging, labeling and inventory.
• Check product quality and dates and take appropriate action to maintain freshness.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and report discrepancies to management.
• Stay current with ads and promotions and reinforce safety procedures.
• Maintain safety, cleaning and preventive maintenance standards and report any issues to management.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks and cooperate during investigations.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer issues effectively.
• Provide support for customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
