Job summary

Food City is seeking a Starbucks team member to deliver prompt service, quality beverages, and a clean, welcoming store environment.

You will take orders, prepare and serve beverages, handle POS transactions, stock products, and follow recipes and safety standards while engaging with customers. This role supports Food City's mission to Run the Best Store in Town and is on-site in Abingdon, VA.

Flexibility in shifts and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Learn how to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products
• Learn the ingredients that go into various products
• Work with various Starbucks ingredients including various coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders and ensure satisfaction
• Prepare, bag, pour, and stock Starbucks products
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow associates
• Engage with customer, offer product information, and use suggestive selling
• Process cash register transactions using POS system
• Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products by following recipes
• Act with integrity to promote the culture, values, and mission of Food City and Starbucks
• Operate tools and equipment following safety procedures
• Follow company food safety program and food-handling procedures
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time and attendance policies
