Job summary

Inns of Aurora Resort & Spa in Aurora, NY is seeking a friendly, energetic barista to prepare beverages, take orders, and deliver excellent guest service. You will handle transactions with accuracy, maintain a clean cafe, and restock supplies as needed.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and available for a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, cashier, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy setting.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance and practices.
• Flexibility with hourly schedules, including weekend, holiday and evening availabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages to company standards
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the POS system
• Provide a welcoming and positive experience for all guests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including counters, equipment, and seating areas
• Restock supplies such as cups, lids, syrups, and food items as needed
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
• Adhere to all Inns of Aurora disciplinary policies and code of conduct, as outlined in the Inns of Aurora handbook
