Job summary

Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc. seeks a Part-Time Barista to join our Winston-Salem café team. You will greet customers, take orders, prepare a range of beverages, and help maintain an inviting café presentation. You will also stock deliveries and assist with the bake case and dining area to ensure excellent service.

Expect a friendly, team-based environment with emphasis on reliability, flexibility, and developing barista skills toward growth to Senior Barista as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Punctual and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Flexible scheduling to cover early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Positive and helpful approach with colleagues and customers.
• Willingness to learn new barista skills and product knowledge.
• Enjoy helping customers and engaging with readers in a café setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and connect them with beverages and café items.
• Operate registers quickly and accurately and maintain café presentation.
• Unpack deliveries and stock the bake case and dining area.
• Maintain FIFO, hygiene and cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Support the bookfloor team when needed and help promote café promotions.
