Job summary

Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc. is seeking a Barista to become a valued member of the café team. You will welcome customers, prepare beverages and bakery items, and help maintain an attractive, clean café area. Training will cover registers, product knowledge, and customer service standards across the store.

You will work with a busy team, supporting deliveries, shelving, and FIFO practices while delivering a high level of courteous service in a welcoming bookstore environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented and cheerful demeanor.
• Ability to handle cash register and basic tech/tools.
• Willingness to learn and follow café procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and connect them with beverages and café items.
• Stock deliveries and maintain bakery and café presentation.
• Operate the register and ensure fast, friendly service.
• Support scene setup, cleaning, and FIFO product dating.
